Alex Bregman Signs 3-Year, $120M Deal with Red Sox

Our long national nightmare is over. As first reported by Chandler Rome of The Athletic, Alex Bregman is joining the Red Sox on a three-year, $120 million deal. There are opt-outs after each season as well. No way in hell the Cubs were ever doing that. Now we wait to see whether the Justin Turner stuff was legit or if the Cubs are going to use Alexander Canario as a backup first baseman.

What we know for sure is that third base in Chicago is now definitely Matt Shaw‘s to lose.
