Chicago Cubs Lineup (3/10/21): Sogard Leads Off, Mills Pitching
Eric Sogard will lead off at second base when the Cubs head to Scottsdale to take on the Giants. Jason Heyward hits second in right, Javy Báez is at short, and Anthony Rizzo cleans up. Cameron Maybin bats fifth in left, Rafael Ortega is in center a day after his walk-off grand slam, and Matt Duffy is at third. Trent Giambrone is the DH and P.J. Higgins will catch.
Alec Mills is on the mound in this one as he works to secure a spot in a rotation that won’t exactly be set in stone even after the Cubs break camp. Though he’s very similar to some of the other starters whose names are written in ink, Mills has acquitted himself well in the past and seems better suited for starting than relieving.
Probable pitchers following him are Andrew Chafin, Gray Fenter, Juan Gámez, Brendon Little, Tommy Nance, Manny Rodriguez, Robert Stock, Dan Winkler, and Brandon Workman.
First pitch from Scottsdale is at 2:05pm CT and you can get the radio call on MLB.com.
