Cubs Make Roster Moves; Cut Roster to 56

The Cubs announced today that they were moving seven players from their roster, as reported by Carrie Muskat at MLB.com.

1B Dan Vogelbach, RHP Andury Acevedo, and LHP Eric Jokish were all three optioned to AAA Iowa. Most notable out of those three, Dan Vogelbach went .214/.353/.500 in Cactus League play over 14 at-bats.

The other four players, RHP Duane Underwood, RHP Armando Rivero, LHP Jack Leathersich, and RHP Jonathan Pettibone, were all optioned to minor league camp.

After the moves, the Cubs roster now sits at 56 players.
