Cubs Trade Jameson Taillon to Blue Jays for PTBNL or Cash

A few days after designating Jameson Taillon for assignment, the Cubs have traded him to the Blue Jays for either a player to be named later or cash considerations. It’s hard to imagine much coming of this, other than Taillon maybe getting a chance to rebuild a little value heading into free agency. The Jays are seven games under .500 pending Sunday’s results, but they’re only 3.5 games out of the Wild Card race because only five AL teams have winning records.

Taillon is a really good dude and you have to hope he can recapture something north of the border that he couldn’t find with the Cubs this season.
