Cubs Activate Jameson Taillon, Demote Ethan Roberts
Jameson Taillon is back from his third stint on the Injured List this season, this time due to a left groin strain. When the Cubs placed Taillon on the IL in late August, it appeared to be a precautionary move to ensure he would be healthy for the postseason.

The right-hander made one rehab start for the Iowa Cubs, allowing three runs in 3.2 innings of work. So far with the major league team, Taillon has logged 106.1 innings with a 4.15 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. He will give the rotation some rest as they head into the final two weeks of the season.
Ethan Roberts is headed back to Triple-A after not seeing any playing time during his brief stint in the major leagues. This was his fourth time in the big leagues, although he has only thrown nine innings all year.
