Miguel Amaya Sidelined 4-6 Weeks
Miguel Amaya went on the IL Sunday with an oblique injury, joining several other Cubs sidelined with a similar issue. Craig Counsell told reporters on Tuesday that Amaya is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

This opens the door for Reese McGuire to get more playing time. Carson Kelly is currently dealing with an illness, but should receive significant at-bats once he returns. Bruce Levine reports that Moisés Ballesteros is not an option to replace Amaya at this point, which is understandable given his lack of experience behind the plate.
