Bottom 5th
With two outs in the inning, Amaya reaches on an error by Turner. Berti follows with a single. Happ walks, and the bases are loaded for Suzuki.
Suzuki rips a single to right to score Amaya and Berti. Cubs are on the board with a run.
Tucker flies out to end the threat.
Cubs trail 6-2.
4th Inning
Schwarber led off the inning and was hit by a pitch. Castellanos followed with a single. Realmuto bloops a soft single to right, and the bases are loaded with no outs. First real trouble for either team today.
On a fluke play, Kepler hits a pop-up to left between Happ, Berti, and Swanson, who were all just watching as the ball landed in between them in fair territory. The Phillies score a run on the play and take a 1-0 lead.
Bohm hits a hard grounder to left for a single. A run scores, and the Phillies are up 2-0. Bases loaded, still no outs.
Rojas hits a sacrifice fly to right. The runners on second and third tag up. Phillies extend their lead to 3-0.
Stott singles and scores another run. Phillies up 4-0 with one out in the inning, runners on first and second.
Turner puts a charge into one, and PCA makes a great catch in center. Harper follows and drives the ball into the left centerfield gap for a two-run double. Brown is done for the day. Phillies lead 6-0. An ugly inning after a very good start by Brown.
Drew Pomeranz comes on in relief and gets the third out.
3rd Inning
Brown has five strikeouts through three innings. The Cubs are hitless against Luzardo heading to the 4th.
