Watch PCA, Owen Caissie Thursday as SB Cubs Play on Marquee
The Chicago Cubs are off Thursday as they prepare to face Anthony Rizzo and the Yankees, but you can still watch live baseball on Marquee. That’s because the High-A South Bend Cubs will be in action against the Cedar Rapids Kernels in prime time. It’s Thirsty Thursday at Four Winds Field, which is fitting because a lot of Cubs will finally get a chance to drink in the future of the organization.
📺 TONIGHT 📺
We're set to broadcast our first game of the season LIVE on @WatchMarquee. Catch all the action between the #SBCubs and @CRKernels with @BKingSports and @MaxThoma at 7:05 PM EST!#ItsDifferentHere pic.twitter.com/CuGUFTFojr

Pete Crow-Armstrong, who will be playing his eighth game with South Bend after destroying Low-A ball in Myrtle Beach, is the clear headliner here. Though he’s only batting .233 so far, he’s hit two homers and carries an .800 OPS into this one. Owen Caissie is right there too, as he was just named the Cubs’ Minor League Player of the Month based on a torrid May that saw him hit .313 with four homers and a .910 OPS.
Outfielders Yohendrick Pinango and Jordan Nwogu are also with South Bend, making it one of the most explosive position groups in the entire organization.
If you live within three hours of South Bend, you owe it to yourself to get over there for at least one game this summer. Even those who live a little farther away should get there and make a weekend of it. My son and I just made the six-hour drive to Kodak to watch the Smokies play and it was well worth the time and expense.
First pitch is set for 7:05pm ET on Marquee, with the inimitable due of Max Thoma and Brendan King on the call.
