Chicago Cubs Lineup (3/11/21): Happ Leads Off, Hendricks Starts Against Rockies
Ian Happ bats first and plays center Thursday against the Rockies, leading off what looks pretty similar to a lineup we might see in the regular season. Willson Contreras is the catcher, Anthony Rizzo plays first, and Kris Bryant cleans up at third base. Joc Pederson is in left, Javy Báez is at short, and Cameron Maybin is in right. David Bote is the DH and Nico Hoerner rounds things out at second.
Kyle Hendricks is on the mound again in what should be an outing of at least three innings as long as all goes well. Jason Adam, Rex Brothers, Brendon Little, Trevor Megill, Shelby Miller, and James Norwood are all available out of the bullpen, though several of them may not see action in a shortened contest.
Because the game is being playing at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, there won’t be any Cubs coverage available on either TV or radio. You can check both out via MLB.com or the Gameday app if you have a chance, so check that out at 2:10pm CT.
Be prepared to fasten those seatbelts, though, because Pat Hughes will be joining the Marquee broadcast to do play-by-play as Jake Arrieta takes the bump Friday afternoon.
