Javy Báez Cleared to Pinch Run, Could Appear Thursday
Javy Báez has been cleared for light baseball activity, which means hitting off of a tee and working through other simple drills. But he could actually appear Thursday night as a pinch runner, according to reports. This is incredibly good news, especially since the Cubs just used Daniel Descalso as a runner Wednesday night.
Javy has been cleared to pinch run, even as soon as tonight.
He has a mitt he can wear on the bases. He has also been cleared by doctors for some light baseball activity (tee work)

Javy has a protective mitt he can wear to protect his fractured thumb while running the bases, something that’s actually pretty common. Now we just have to hope the Cubs get someone on base for Javy to relieve.
