Chicago Cubs Lineup (3/6/19): Almora Leadoff, El Mago Cleanup, Quintana Pitching

The Cubs are at Sloan Park once again to take on the Royals and they’ll do so with a decidedly springy lineup. Albert Almora Jr. leads off in center, followed by David Bote and Anthony Rizzo at either corner. Javy Báez cleans up at short and Victor Caratini is catching.

From there, it’s Daniel Descalso at second, Johnny Field in left, Evan Marzilli in right, and Ian Rice at DH. The fake season keeps chugging along and the Cubs are generally providing some entertainment from all parts of the roster, so here’s to hoping for more of the same from this group.

Jose Quintana will be on the mound to round out the rotation’s second time through. All have looked to be on pace, perhaps even ahead of it in some cases, in terms of what you’re looking for this time of year. Expect to see their appearances get a little longer from this point forward.

First pitch is at 2:05pm CT and can be heard on MLB.com.
