Chicago Cubs Lineup: Kris Bryant Returns, Hendricks on the Hill
Kris Bryant returns to the lineup today batting sixth as the Cubs open their final series of the year. The Cubs need Bryant at or near 100% as the playoffs begin, so the presumption is that he’s as close to that as he’ll get this year.
Daniel Murphy leads off, followed by Ben Zobrist, Anthony Rizzo, Javy Baez and Jason Heyward. Bryant follows, backed by Willson Contreras hitting 7th, Kyle Hendricks slots in 8th, and David Bote is 9th in the order.
Hendricks will be going for his 14th win on the season against Adam Wainwright. The game starts at 11:20 CT and will be broadcast on ABC 7, ESPN (out-of-market) and Facebook Live (in-market)
