Yu Darvish Leaves First Rehab Start After One Inning With Apparent Arm Problem
Yu Darvish pitched just one inning in his first minor league rehab start before leaving the game with an apparent arm injury. Darvish was warming up for his second inning, threw a breaking pitch, and experienced discomfort.
Uh-oh: Yu Darvish leaving the game after one inning. Something happened in warmups. Threw a breaking ball and didn't like it. #Cubs

Darvish walked off the mound with a trainer and appeared to be shaking his arm. Not ideal, folks, not ideal at all.
Yu is OUT after the first inning. Was motioning with his arm after he took the mound for the second. Not good!

We’ll wait to see what actually is going on with Darvish, but this is about as bad a scenario as one could imagine. If there is any problem with his arm, I’d be surprised if he throws another pitch in 2018. That’s just my speculation, though.
We’ll update you as more information is released.
