Bling, Bling: Myrtle Beach Pelicans Reveal New Carolina League Championship Rings
It’s not quite the same as B.G.’s first single of off Chopper City in the Ghetto, but the Myrtle Beach Pelicans unveiled a little bling, bling Monday morning.
This is the kind of Monday morning delivery that will brighten your whole month! #back2backchamps pic.twitter.com/bPLSNclOUV

The ring on the left is actually from the first of the Pelicans’ back-to-back Carolina League championship seasons, both of which have come during their time as a Cubs affiliate. I’m pretty biased, but there’s some awesome stuff going on down at the beach. Everything they’re doing in terms of player development and fan experience is just top notch.
While we’re on the topic of awesome stuff, you should head on over to their team shop and use the coupon code ALTMAN to get 30% off your entire order of Pelicans gear.
I was originally going to take a few moments to regale you with a story of how some of my college buddies named their band after a license plate they saw that read BLINGX2, but you don’t want to hear about that. Nor do you want to hear about how they once played a cover of blink-182’s “All the Small Things” while totally nude. Which is why I’m not going to share it. Maybe next time.
