When asked by CSN Chicago if the Cubs are playing badly, Joe Maddon said, “We haven’t played badly at all. That whole series in San Francisco, I thought we played well.”

Bottom line message that Joe is trying to get across is that the Cubs pitching has been doing well and they have been hitting the ball very good, just right at defenders.

According to Maddon the Cubs have been playing the game of baseball well. That seems simple but the idea needs to be digested in order to understand that, while things are a little tough right now, doesn’t mean the sky is falling. It’s really more a sign that baseball requires patience and perspective. Luckily for Cubs’ fans, Joe has both.
